Stimulation - Why can't I feel it?
When you first start using Zeus, you’ll likely feel the gentle pulses under your chin. But as your muscles adapt over time, you may notice the sensation fade. This doesn’t mean it’s not working, it’s similar to how your body adjusts to a workout routine; what once felt intense soon becomes familiar as your muscles strengthen.
Zeus works in a 6-second on / 4-second off cycle, delivering consistent pulses throughout the night. There’s also a 20-minute pre-sleep phase, which means Zeus pauses during this time to let you drift off comfortably before it starts working.
If you’re only feeling stimulation on one side, don’t worry. The device doesn’t need to be felt on both sides to be effective. Feeling it on one side simply means the circuit is complete and Zeus is stimulating the right muscle. You can test this by:
-
Wetting one finger and touching just one electrode (you shouldn’t feel it).
-
Wetting two fingers and touching both electrodes, you’ll feel the current.
Uneven sensation can also be caused by natural differences in neck physiology or slightly stronger contact on one side of the hydrogel pad. Try pressing Zeus gently against your neck if it feels stronger, the contact is likely the cause, so try readjusting the placement of your Zeus.
The best way to measure performance? Your sleep. If your snoring has improved and you’re waking more refreshed, Zeus is doing its job.
