Positioning Zeus Correctly
Positioning Your Zeus
Correct positioning helps ensure both comfort and effectiveness. Using a mirror can make this much easier.
Before you begin
-
Remove Zeus from the charging dock.
-
Stand in front of a mirror. You can practise finding the correct position without a hydrogel pad before applying the device.
How to position Zeus
-
Look straight ahead into the mirror. Avoid craning your neck, as this helps ensure maximum adhesion once applied.
-
Place your fingers underneath your chin, on either side of your neck.
-
Raise your tongue to the roof of your mouth.
-
You should feel the muscles under your fingers move as your tongue lifts.
This moving area is where the electrodes (the wings of the device) should sit. This is a relatively large area, so focus on making sure the wings are positioned over the contracting muscle.
Final placement
-
Position the round centre of Zeus just under your chin.
-
Apply firm pressure once the device is in place.
Correct positioning will be slightly different for every user, depending on individual anatomy. The most important factor is that the wings of the device are covering the contracting muscle. The round centre may sit slightly further forward or further back for different users, and this is completely normal.
